Parkinson’s: A Christmas Gratefulness Log
A Christmas Gratefulness Log
Yesterday was full of love. It was my birthday and I was totally spoiled. From breakfast at the Emporium with Talitha and Corrine (Corrine is here visiting!), to an afternoon playing the reindeer ring toss game with my very rambunctious and giggling family and then celebrating with the most awesome ice cream Sundays, it was a perfect Day.Thank you to Ara who started my day with a fun Birthday text about all the 2's in 12/22/2022. (I definitely should have played the lottery!) and another Happy Birthday text from Eileen! (who celebrates her birthday very soon on January 1st Happy Birthday Eileen!) And a beautiful online Birthday Card from Fran and one from Holly too! And a wonderful phone call from Ellen! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
This is my Christmas Gratefulness log:
I want to say how much of a blessing it has been for me to write this blog and know you are receiving it. I want to thank all the friends that have written back to me and commented on a post or just wrote to say hi.
And thank you to Corrine for making it possible.
Thank you to all the teachers that have blessed me this year with their wisdom and enthusiasm: Cynthia, Jill, Fran, Carmen, Bridget, Pam, Bethany, Mckenna, and Barnaby.
Thank you to the scientists and researchers who came up with a COVID vaccination. It has been sooooo wonderful to be able to go out and about in my town again.
Thank you to the Parkinson's Foundation and the Michael J. Fox Foundation and the Davis Phinney Foundation for all they do for People with Parkinson's and the battle to end Parkinson's.
Thank you to all the Doctor's and Movement Specialists and Therapists and Pharmacists and most especially to the Nurse Practitioners who listen and help us to live a better life with Parkinson's.
Thank you to all the people I have met in my classes, who have Parkinson's and are becoming my community of Parkinson's Friends. You are the best! You are my inspiration and my helpers along the way as you share your stories and your wisdom.
Thank you to my family, their kindness and help and humor are my saving grace.
Thank you to my sweetheart and the best care partner ever, Steven, I love you so much.
Merry Christmas, Everyone,
Love,
Nancy and the Snark
May all beings be happy, content and fulfilled,
May all beings be healed and whole.
May all have whatever they want and need.
May all be protected from harm, and free from fear,
May all beings enjoy inner peace and ease,
May all be awakened, liberated and free,
May there be peace in the world,
and throughout the entire universe.
Such a lovely post Nancy. It saddens me so, to know you have parky, (your words) and pray there is a cure in our lifetime. Your always in my prayers and I thank God for Steven as well. All my love❤️
