Grandma Is Tired
Today we (mostly Steven is) are doing some decorating for the holidays. Emberlee, our 5 year old grand daughter, is so pleased. She is going around asking to help. She wants to pull things quickly out of all the boxes and see what is there!
She says how pretty everything looks and how much she loves the holiday decorations as she tries to pile tiny wrapped packages and a snowman and a snow woman and a santa in a rocking chair...and...and... in her arms.
Grandpa had just carefully staged them in a Christmas scene on a shelf.
“Remember to bring them back Em.”
“Emberlee!” Emberlee has been called twice, so far, to come eat her grilled cheese sandwich. She had asked for it, and Daddy has made it. She wants to carry all the little toys in the Christmas scene, with her, to the back room table, to play with, while she eats. She hurriedly stuffs the tiny characters and assorted Christmas props into a wooden box she finds amongst her toys and rushes out.
I know, with all of my heart, that she is adorable, but I am so tired today, that I don't have the energy to deal with the questions or the answers that I must come up with. Nor do I have the energy to be as patient and loving as she deserves.
Lately, I feel the Snark is poking his nose in everywhere. GRRRRR. When I'm not so dang tired, I am going to have a word with Mr. Snark about it. I'll let you know how it goes in the new year.
I hope you all have a wonderful week.
I promise, I will too.
Cheers,
Nancy and the Snark
Suggestions I'd like to share, that I have gotten this past week-
On drinking and not choking.:
Take a small drink, don't swallow, hold the liquid in your mouth, bring your chin to your chest and then swallow. I've been doing this suggestion at night to take my medicine. I tend to be nervous about swallowing, when I get up in the middle of the night and I am very groggy.
