Parkinson's: Mouse Adventures Parkinson's Puzzle Hunt

 Snarky Sparky & Me
Journey Into Parkinson's
With Nancy Mellon
Blog Coordinated by Corrine Bayraktaroglu

Hello, my name is Matilda, I was asked by my friends to be the speaker. Some of us are very young, we have 5 babies with us that mostly slept the whole time we were traveling.  We are all very glad to be here .  Our maker, Corrine,  made us each a teddy bear to hold,  so we would not be afraid. See?  I named mine Ajax. Corrine is an artist. She told us we were coming to Yellow Springs in Ohio by mail.

She said to say hi to everybody and to try to not be too loud. She wasn't sure if it was ok to send real mice by mail.  She used to live in Yellow Springs and misses it, but now she lives in Phoenix, Arizona and likes many things about there too.  . She told us we  were going  to get our forever homes  at the Parkinson's Puzzle Hunt . Two of us got hurt, while we were traveling. The littler ones got bored and played a little too hard. So, as you can see there is little Tom's tail . He broke it off himself when he rolled into me.  And I am sorry to say that  Sue broke off her hand. [She shouldn't  have punched Tom when he rolled into her.) So Corrine's friend Nancy called her  to ask how to fix them and Corrine told her about a new glue she is using called fuss..er, I don't remember the name.   But the nice lady here said not to worry that she will glue them back on.  We are looking forward to meeting you at the Parkinson's Puzzle Hunt.

 Thank you.

PS:  Nancy is going to include a picture of the babies.

Paper puppets made by me, (so far I've made 6 different puppet people for the Puzzle  Hunt Participants.)  These puppets are  3 of the 100 small art prizes, that you will get to choose from. They are all created by our local artists, thank you each and everyone!  (And a few who are not so local- Thank you Corrine and Ara and Susan!)
Every Participant in the Parkinson's Puzzle Hunt, gets to take home a piece of art as a memento.
Steven thought I should make sure everyone understands that Corrine's mice are not "real" mice (Like Pinocchio, the mice want to be "real"  mice.) And that the 5 tiny mice squeezing their teddy bears, and the even weenier 5 baby mice are also part  of the Memento  Art that will be at the Senior Center Closing Awards Program. Plus 4 team trophies will be awarded and also there will be store prizes and gift cards donated from our-oh-so-generous businesses in town!   Did I mention the ice cream and toppings?

Hope you can join us,
